India Hosts Vegan India Conference to Promote Veganism

Vegan First has scheduled the Vegan India Conference (VIC) for July 6th-7th, 2024, in Mumbai. Under the tagline “Rethink Food, Fashion, and Beauty,” India’s largest Plant-Based Conference will delve into rising vegan product demand nationwide.

Vegan India Conference: Agenda

VIC will also highlight the urgency of adopting sustainable and cruelty-free alternatives in various sectors, including food, materials, and technology.  It seeks to raise awareness regarding the significance of embracing a vegan lifestyle to foster the growth of vegan movement both in India and globally.

In recent years, veganism has surged in India, with a growing number adopting vegan diets. The plant-based food industry now exceeds $1.3 billion in market value as of 2022.

In a recent survey, 48% choose plant-based food for animal welfare, while 46% are vegetarians or vegans.

VIC is  a joint venture of the World Vegan Organization and Vegan First. The WVO strives to unite activists globally, regardless of their backgrounds, to promote veganism for the betterment of people, animals, and the planet. Vegan First is alo dedicated to promoting and supporting veganism in India. Founded by  Palak Mehta  in 2016, it offers a wide range of recipes, articles, product reviews and news with the  aim of educating and inspiring people to align with veganism

Vegan India Conference: Speakers

The conference will host more than 1200 delegates around the world. The conference will include well-known vegan speakers, celebrities, and entrepreneurs discussing food, beauty, and fashion topics.

In addition to expert talks, attendees can enjoy a diverse array of plant-based foods. Outstanding creators, businesses, and organizations in the vegan industry will receive awards at the conference’s conclusion.
